CPI Moling are accredited to carry out all gas works on the consumer side of the primary meter. All Our operatives are ACS accredited and Gas Safe Registered. Our fully qualified Industrial Commercial Gas Engineers are able to deliver a comprehensive range of services on low, intermediate and medium pressure pipework, and carry out testing, purging and Commissioning / Decommissioning.
We install new Gas pipes ranging from 20mm to 315mm. Pipe can be mechanically jointed, electro-fused or butt welded with the best solution found for your requirements.
Trenchless Technology, or Moling as it is more commonly called, is a method of installing new pipes, cables and ducts without the need for continuous and potentially highly damaging open trenches. Instead, Moling requires comparatively small pits, which are excavated at approximately 10 meter intervals. The "Mole" is then used to connect them. Greater distances can be undertaken but a site assessment would be required to ascertain the suitability of the ground.
The Moling process is specifically designed to be far less intrusive and can often lead to a significant saving in time and therefore costs on labour and reinstatement. This technology can be of particular benefit to Heritage sites where any disturbance is always a very sensitive issue.
We are approved installers of secondary gas meters and can offer meters and meter housings to accommodate U6, U16, U25, U40, U65, U100 and U150 meters. We can also supply and install diaphragm, turbine and pulsed meters, twin stream bypass systems and all required regulators for pressure reducing.
Another service we provide is under pressure connections, which allows connection onto a live gas pipes when the existing main is unable to be turned off.
Our ACS qualified and Gas Safe registered engineers can install all required pipe sizes after the primary meter to meet any requirements for your property.
Using our leak detection equipment we are able to pin point a leak to around a metre of its location We can then excavate and repair, saving you time and money.
Through a process of Air or Nitrogen purging pipes are cleared of gas to enable demolition or hot works to take place. We also decommission mains water, sprinkler systems and air conditioning units.
On completion of pipework installation, the mains will be tested in accordance with IGE/UP/1 guidelines to prove soundness. The main will then be purged to gas and certificated on completion.
With our experienced and qualified groundwork teams and engineers, we are able to install all required above and below ground utility pipework for all major building projects.
